Was ist "Art Escort"?

„Art Escort“ ist ein Kunstprojekt - und ein völlig neues, ungewöhnliches Escort-Modell: Berlin-Besucher und -Neuentdecker können Künstler, Schriftsteller und Musiker buchen und sich von ihnen nach individuellen Wünschen durch die Hauptstadt begleiten lassen – sei es bei einer Besichtigung der angesagten Galerien, bei Atelierbesuchen oder Mauerspaziergängen. Das Projekt wurde am 27.8.2008 mit einer Vorstellung der Künstler gestartet.

An wen richtet sich "Art Escort"?

"Art Escort" ist anders als klassische Begleitagenturen. Während übliche Escortdienste einsame Herzen trösten oder zum Tanz in Clärchens Ballhaus begleiten, richtet sich "Art Escort" an alle Kulturinteressierten, die die Kulturszene der Hauptstadt auf völlig neue Weise entdecken und in direkten Kontakt mit einem der vielen talentierten, exzellent ausgebildeten, vielsprachigen Künstler treten wollen.

“Art Escort” is an art project – and a completely new and unusual type of “escort” service. Visitors to Berlin can book artists, writers and directors to escort them around Germany’s capital city according to their personal wishes – for a trip to the hippest galleries, visits to artists’ studios or excursions into the city’s buzzing club culture.

Who is “Art Escort” aimed at?

“Art Escort” is not like normal escort agencies. Whereas standard agencies offer erotic services, “Art Escort” provides creativity. The agency itself is an art project, drawing attention to Berlin’s creative potential with its many highly skilled, extremely well educated and multilingual creative talents. That means “Art Escort” is aimed at all those who want to discover the cultural city of Berlin in a completely new light, and enter into direct contact with its many artists.

How does "Art Escort" work?

Via the website “www.art-escort.de”, anyone who wants to use the creative escort service can contact the person they are interested in at the agency. With their wit, intelligence and excellent knowledge of Berlin, the “escort artists” make every trip around the city an extraordinary experience. Instead of sex, clients get personal encounters with culture, art and literature, individually tailored to their interests.
